Celebrating Founder's Day on the last Thursday in September, in honour of Henry Smith, who bequeathed upon his death a sum of money to help the 'poor boys' of Reigate leading the founding of Reigate Grammar School in 1675.
We use the day to mark this occasion and raise awareness of our school, philanthropy and legacy. Whether we are waving a flag, taking part in a history of RGS quiz or eating a cake topped with our Founder's day logo, we celebrate this remarkable milestone in the school's history.
