I am currently studying for a degree in Biomedical and Health Applications of Data Science at the University of Edinburgh. I spent the last year in Montreal studying at McGill University and will be heading back to Edinburgh in September for my final year. At McGill I have had the opportunity to learn much more about Global Health, Pharmacology and Medical Ethics. It has been a fantastic opportunity to learn in a different environment, meet new people and travel in North America.

My coursework has equipped me with a solid foundation in biology, chemistry and data analysis. I have developed strong analytical and problem- -solving skills and I am used to delivering high quality work under tight time pressures. I am a good communicator and can translate scientific ideas into understandable language. Choosing to spend a year abroad has given me confidence in my adaptability and resilience and I have enjoyed studying with people from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds.

I am now looking for a summer internship or work experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences or professional services businesses with a view to ultimately pursuing a career which could make a meaningful contribution to global health, either through developing and advocating policy options or more directly in terms of financing, developing or manufacturing global health products. I would also be useful in any sector in data analysis and reporting!

If you can't offer an internship or work experience I would still love to speak to people in this network who can provide information about the the types of opportunities that are available in my spheres of interest!
