Reigatian Christmas Drinks at Pilgrim Brewery 2024

We were delighted to see so many of our Reigatians at the Pilgrim Brewery on 12 December 2024 for our annual Christmas drinks. With the astonishing success of 2023, we decided to move location from The Hatch to Pilgrim Brewery, Reigate, and it didn't disappoint! With a festive welcome adorning the roof of the brewery, rainbow fairy lights covering the Christmas tree and warming white lights, under the canopy, we were already one foot into Christmas. Despite the cold night, over 90 frrom across our community stopped by to share a drink with us and sing along to carols such as 'Once in Royal Davids City' and 'O Come All Ye Faithful', beautifully sung by the RGS Polyphony and lead by the RGS Brass band. Thank you to our music department for sharing the musical delights with us all. 

The RGS Foundation team welcomed everyone as they arrived, handing out carol sheets, a token for a free drink and offered them the chance to take part in our Christmas Advent Lucky Dip! Prizes included bottles of wine, chocolates, a voucher for Pilgrim Brewery and even a mini keg!

Headmaster Shaun Fenton warmly welcomed everyone to the event and thanked everyone for their committment to the year we've had. Jonny Hylton, RGS Foundation Director ('99), wished everyone a Merry Christmas and thanked everyone for their ongoing support, reminding our guests that 2025 will be a year of celebrations as we step into 350 years of Reigate Grammar School. 

It is with huge thanks to Rory Fry-Stone (fomer parent) and Adrian Rothera (RGS 1977-1984) for allowing us to once again host our event at one of their venues.
