Welcome to our 350 year!

As we step into 2025, we at Reigate Grammar School are thrilled to celebrate an extraordinary milestone— our 350 year anniversary. Founded in 1675, RGS has stood proudly on the same site, transforming from a single schoolhouse into a vibrant campus featuring a concert hall, sports fields, a science block, a music school, and a state-of-the-art Sixth Form centre. Celebrating 350 years of excellence, Reigate Grammar School was recently proud to announce a truly historic achievement: we have been named Sunday Times School of the Year 2025 in The Sunday Times Parent Power Guide 2025, earning two prestigious accolades:

This remarkable recognition honours our enduring legacy and the dedication of our entire school community.

In 2023, we launched our Changing Lives, Building Futures campaign, reflecting our commitment to a decade of philanthropy as part of our 350 celebrations. Through this campaign, we’re bringing our school values to life across a variety of exciting initiatives. Whether it’s Be Green — planting trees and fostering sustainability — or empowering students, staff, and friends to make environmentally conscious decisions, we are determined to make a lasting impact.

We pledge to Be Kind, ensuring every journey through RGS is filled with unforgettable moments. In 2025, this commitment comes to life with events like our 350 Gala Ball at the De Vere Connaught Rooms in London and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our sports teams to play on the Saracens pitch at the StoneX Stadium on 29 January. There really is something for everyone on our events calendar.

Our promise to Be Giving drives our campaign’s mission to transform the lives of children from disadvantaged backgrounds by providing access to quality education. But our efforts don’t stop there. We continue to champion those in need by collaborating with charity partners to help our community thrive. This is at the heart of Be Partners—building connections with charities seeking a platform, local businesses eager to support us, and other schools committed to mutual growth.

Through our new online platform, the Reigatian Hub, we’re expanding our reach, inviting Reigatians to Be Global. This platform connects our community worldwide, offering opportunities for mentorship, work placements, advice, expertise, and the chance to reconnect with old friends.

As we celebrate this remarkable year and look to the future, we encourage you to Be Inspired to create your own moments with us. Join our campaign to drive change by ‘Finding your Fit’ and help ensure every student at RGS receives a dynamic education, regardless of their background or financial circumstances. Whether it’s donating time, money, expertise, or experience, attending one of our diverse events—ranging from golf, running, and music to drama, reunions, and glamorous galas—or leaving a legacy for future generations, there’s a way for everyone to get involved.
