RGS 350 New York City Gala Dinner Announced

Reigate Grammar School is delighted to invite Reigatians and friends of the School to a truly memorable celebration marking its 350th anniversary: the RGS 350 New York City Gala Dinner, to be held at the NYU Kimmel Center.

The event will take place in the spectacular Rosenthal Pavilion on the tenth floor, offering breathtaking sunset views across Manhattan and up Fifth Avenue towards the Empire State Building — a fitting setting for a milestone celebration that brings together members of the RGS community from around the world.

North America is home to one of RGS’s largest and most engaged overseas Reigatian communities, and over the past decade the School has been proud to host a number of successful events across the region. New York, in particular, serves as a global hub for many Reigatians, and we warmly welcome former pupils and friends from all corners of the world to join us for this landmark evening.

We are pleased to confirm that RGS Headmaster Shaun Fenton OBE will be joining guests for the celebrations.

Places for this exceptional evening are limited, and the programme promises one or two unforgettable moments. With 40% of tickets already sold, early booking is strongly encouraged.

A Unique Venue and Live Music

The Rosenthal Pavilion is home to a nine-foot Steinway piano generously donated by Frank Sinatra, adding a remarkable and historic touch to the evening.

We are delighted that Billy Elliston (RGS 2010–2017) will provide live piano music throughout the event, performing on Sinatra’s Steinway. Now 27, Billy is a pianist and producer from London who has recently relocated to New York. Introduced to the piano at the age of three, he taught himself to play and began composing his own music at just twelve. Shortly after leaving RGS, Billy recorded his first album, and his music has since featured on major television platforms, including the TV BAFTAs in 2018 and 2022. His second piano album, Cycles, was released in 2025.

Tickets and Booking

Tickets for the RGS 350 New York City Gala Dinner are priced at $225 and include a three-course dinner with all beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Tickets may be purchased individually or as tables of eight.
