The first Reigatian Hub gathering of 2025 took place on 4 March at the vibrant Rail House Café in London, bringing together Reigatians from across the generations and even from the other side of the world! We were delighted to welcome Karl Hackett (RGS '90), one of our Overseas Ambassadors, who travelled all the way from Perth, Australia, to join the occasion!

RGS Foundation Director, Jonny Hylton (RGS '99), and RGS Foundation Executive, Tracey Thornton, hosted the evening - an informal get together to welcome old friends and new. Jonny spoke briefly about the importance of an engaged and supportive community, encouraging attendees to consider how they could share their expertise with Reigatians following in their footsteps. Jonny then highlighted the Professionals area, within the Reigatian Hub online platform, as a valuable place for facilitating opportunties in a way that works for each individual.

The following video was ably put together by Tom Graham (RGS friend) and played throughout the evening, serving as a reminder of the impact of the global Reigatian community as told by fellow Reigatians Say Vivekanantham (RGS '09) and Rob Pierre (current parent) and co-founder of Jellyfish. You can watch the full video here.

As always, the event was more than just a social occasion, it was a chance to build meaningful connections, share career insights and create opportunities for the next generation of Reigatians. From business networking to exploring mentorship and micro-placement opportunities, these gatherings continue to empower Reigatians to support one other in flexible and rewarding ways.

Ella Sanderson (RGS '24) summed up the night perfectly, describing it as an "amazing opportunity to meet so many incredible Reigatians" and to hear about the diverse career paths Reigatians have taken. The room buzzed with conversation, laughter and a strong sense of shared values, with a genuine willingness to support and guide others where possible - proving once again what a fabulous community we have.

A thoroughly enjoyable and worthwhile evening was had by all.

Our next Reigatian Hub gathering will be on 14 May 2025, at DropKick Brewing in Dorking, founded by Fin McCartney (RGS '18).
