Having arranged several gatherings since the launch of our Reigatian Hub, to meet our network, we decided it was time to take it round the country to meet those we don't get to see very often. This was our first Reigatian Hub Regional Gathering and we made our way to the West to visit those in and around Bristol. We invited everyone to The Ostrich in Redcliffe and were thrilled to see our current studying Reigatians all the way through to our Reigatians that left in the 1970s and many in between. The night was great, food and drink, good conversation and company were all in abundance.
With the launch of our Reigatian Hub in May 2024, we have spent the last 18 months, building the content, network and foundation for a platform that is growing steadily day by day. We wanted to create a space that our Reigatians could be connected to and with each other, whether it be due to work, nostalgia or current community ties.
The platform provides access to the RGS archives and reconnects our network with community clubs, creating a central hub for various “Class of” groups. We share news and updates — most recently celebrating our nominations for the IDPE Awards.
There are dedicated sections highlighting notable Reigatians and RGS Foundation publications, as well as tributes to those no longer with us. Visitors can also learn more about our ongoing campaign, Changing Lives, Building Futures and the purpose behind our work, explore upcoming events, and engage with an area designed for both current and former professionals.
This professional network promotes Reigatian businesses, facilitates work placements and mentoring, offers career advice and expertise, and provides valuable insights into a range of industries and roles.
Along the way, we’ve built a unique space within the hub — open to everyone, with sign-up giving you access to all areas and opportunities.
It was a lovely atmosphere at our first regional gathering and we can't wait to do it again, keep an eye out for where we'll be heading in 2026!
Don't forget to sign up to the Reigatian Hub - if you sign up with a complete online profile, you will receive a very special limited editon pair of IMAGINE RGS Foundation socks.
