It's been such a wonderful year for us in the RGS Foundation. We have hosted so many fantastic events, near and far, and the support we have received from our community has been incredible. It is our Reigatians that are the very foundation of all that we do. From the connnections we make and maintain, the business and charity partners that work alongside us, the students, past and present, RGS parents and of course the staff here at Reigate Grammar School. Thank you for all that you did, do and continue to support with, in whatever way you do so.
Here is a wrap up of the year that was....2024 you've been wonderful!
January to Easter saw us host another successful Inspiring Minds event, with an excellent panel of speakers taking us on their professional journey. Don't forget to sign up here for 2025! We also hosted a trip to Chase Devere for our Sixth Formers, attended the PFA Ceilidh, reunited the cast of Anything Goes and watched the choir perform at Indigo at The O2.
As we headed into Spring, we were delighted to welcome back our 1675 Society to celebrate Henry Smith Founder's Day with a delicious afternoon tea before switching it up a week later with the back drop of St Paul's as we launched the Reigatian Hub at Juno Rooms. This was a brilliant event, bringing our professionals together to launch an exciting new online platform offering mentoring, work placements, connections and expertise. We were not quite done with the Summer term and made appearances at the PFA ball, Hartsfest, reunited the Classes of 1973 and 1974 in a Golden Anniversary lunch, played a few rounds in a charity golf day at Reigate Hill Golf Club to support our campaign Changing Lives, Building Futures and welcomed new parents to RGS with a summer gathering.
For us, the Autumn is a whirlwind of activity, we hosted 2 reunions (graduation brunch for the Class of 2020 and 10 years on for the Class of 2014), brought together more keen golfers for another RGS Foundation golf day, this time at the prestigious Royal Ashdown Golf Course. We supported our runners at Run Reigate, visited Hong Kong, Vietnam, Singapore and Malaysia to see our overseas Reigatians, paid our respects at Remembrance Day, brought together our community for Christmas drinks at Pilgrim Brewery and saw another epic RGS drama production, Shakespeare in Love!
We have so many great events coming up in 2025, sign up now - we look forward to seeing you!
