Jamie Quantick is looking for Placement Year opportunities

I'm a student at the University of Bath having just finished my second year studying Politics and International Relations, and I'm now looking for any internships or placement year opportunities in politics. I'm loving my degree, and have particularly enjoyed learning about the role and relationship of technology in politics.

I'm a very motivated student, founding a political website back in 2020 (www.thepolitical.online) which provided a platform for young people to write articles on politics. I used LinkedIn Jobs to find suitable people to write for the website, subsequently reviewing hundreds of CVs, before recruiting several people from around the UK. I'm proud that for two years the website provided an alternative way for young people to both understand and digest the news, and also a platform for young people interested in journalism and writing about politics.

I'm now looking for any internship or placement year opportunities, to start as soon as possible. I'm hoping for a career in public affairs and so that's what I'm aiming to gain some experience in this year, but I'm very much open to similar/different roles in the world of politics.
