The Bright Side Running Club – A Film Investment Opportunity
Chalet Girl producer, Harriet Rees, is raising finance for her latest feature film, The Bright Side Running Club, and is sharing this exciting opportunity with members of the Reigatian community.
Based on the bestselling novel, the film is a British comedy-drama in the spirit of Calendar Girls, Military Wives and Mrs Harris Goes to Paris, following a group of women undergoing breast cancer treatment who form friendships and support one another through humour and resilience.
The film was launched to the industry at the Cannes Film Festival and reported by Screen Daily here.
The project is working towards a green light by 17 July, enabling it to move into pre-production on 27 July, with filming planned to begin on 21 September. The film has already attracted an impressive ensemble cast including Maxine Peake, Gemma Jones, Toby Stephens, Jane Horrocks, Susan Wokoma and Archie Panjabi (all subject to contract).
The production is seeking to raise £1.5 million in equity investment, offering a 20% premium on investment if projected sales targets are achieved, along with participation in potential net profits. The minimum investment is £100,000.
This represents a rare opportunity to be involved at an early stage in a commercially driven British feature film with strong audience appeal and established creative momentum.
