Placement-Ready Business Student with Marketing & Operations Experience

My name is Moosa Basit, and I am a penultimate year Business and Management student at the University of York, actively seeking a Year in Industry placement where I can contribute meaningfully while developing strong commercial and professional skills. I have built a broad and practical foundation through hands on experience in marketing, brand activation, events delivery, property operations and customer focused roles.

My experience includes planning and delivering social media and digital marketing campaigns, producing branded content with measurable engagement, coordinating large scale events for up to several hundred guests, supporting operational and property management activities, and working directly with customers in fast paced, high pressure environments. Across these roles, I have developed strong communication skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to take ownership while working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

I am particularly interested in placement opportunities within marketing, brand, operations or project based roles where I can add value, take initiative and learn from experienced professionals. I am adaptable, proactive and comfortable stepping into new environments, and I bring a strong work ethic alongside a genuine enthusiasm for learning and growth.
